Why Per-User Pricing Makes Sense
We charge based on who uses the platform because that's the fairest way to deliver value. When platforms claim "unlimited users" or tie pricing to project value, someone always pays the hidden cost - usually through inflated base prices, feature restrictions, or unsustainable business models that lead to service cuts down the line. Per-user pricing aligns our success with yours: as your team grows and completes more projects, we grow together. It's honest, it's scalable, and it means we're invested in making sure every user gets real value from the platform.
Primary Users vs. Collaborators
TMG Project Center classifies users into two groups -
Primary Users
Primary Users are your core team - the direct employees of your company who manage projects day-to-day. These are your project managers, superintendents, estimators, and office staff who need full access to create projects, manage workflows, and drive decisions.
Collaborator Users
Collaborator Users are your extended project team - subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and consultants who need visibility and input on specific projects. They can view drawings, submit updates, track issues, and communicate within the platform, but don't need the full suite of contractor management tools.
This distinction matters because your needs are different from your subs' needs, and your pricing should reflect that.
One Primary User = Five Total Seats
Every Primary User seat includes 4 Collaborator User seat. For every employee you add to the platform, you can bring four external stakeholders along at no additional cost. That means a team of 10 primary users gets 50 total platform seats to distribute across your entire project ecosystem. No math tricks, no hidden fees, just straightforward capacity to get everyone on the same page.
Need more collaborators? No problem – we offer additional collaborator users in buckets of 10, 25, and 50 users.
